RPV Stud Caps

Features: 

Preferred Engineering’s RPV Stud Caps are designed to isolate the Elongation Rods and RPV stud cores. The Stud Caps are machined from billet aluminum and use a hardcoat anodize protective finish. A passively retained O-Ring provide sealing thus allowing Elongation Rods to remain inside the RPV Stud eliminating ‘soak’ times which are required to acclimate the Elongation Rods to temperature. 

Benefits: 

• Recess for elongation rod clearance eliminates the need to remove them and eliminates ‘soak’ time prior to tensioning 

• Passively retained O-Ring, no glue or hardware required. 

• Square drive for fast and accurate installation with torque wrench.
