PWC Changing Modbus Address From PWC Edit

Symptom

The modbus address on a PWC can be changed from PWC Edit.

Steps to Troubleshoot

Changing Modbus Address Using PWC Edit.

  1. From the edit Menu select ‘Modbus Setup’.
  2. Click the ‘Modbus Setup’ button.
  3. Enter the desired modbus address in address window.
  4. Click ‘Done’, twice to close out ‘Modbus’ dialogs.
  5. Press the ‘Download’ button or select ‘Download To PWC’ from the ‘File’ menu.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Select ‘Modbus Registers + Coils’ from the ‘Select Items To Download’ dialog all other items should be deselected.
  8. Click Continue & complete download.

 

Resolution

After the program is finished downloading you can unplug the download cable and the PWC and modbus are ready for use.
