How To Download A Program To The PWC

The PWC is a multifunctional micro-processor as in our Chief Dispatcher series as well as in the fuel oil handling field with our ATPS line of automatic fuel oil transfer pump sets.
Occasionally you may need to download a program into the PWC as part of a program change.
Steps to Troubleshoot
Before you can download a program to the PWC you will 1st need a few things. A computer and the PWC Edit Software, A USB to Serial Port Cable, and the actual file that is to be downloaded.
No connect the Serial Cable to the PWC and plug the USB Part of the cable into the laptop.
Open PWC Edit
Locate the file to be downloaded and open the file. Make sure the all the info on the program home screen matches to what you need then click done.
Verify the COM Port settings match the USB Port you are going to be using.
In the bottom left had corner of the PWC Edit screen click the download button. Once you read the Warning screen you can acknowledge the warning and proceed by clicking continue.
The next window you can select which part of the program you would like to download into the PWC. For training purposes and what is most commonly used is by clicking “Select All” then continue.
Now the download progress screen appears. Click start to begin the download. Once the download is complete the download progress screen will disappear and the PWC will save the blockware and check the configuration for errors. If there are no errors the PWC will briefly display “Block Config OK” and now the program has been successfully downloaded into the PWC and is ready for use.
